The Double Standard Chronicles (inspired by the white rabbit)

Part I : Don't hate me cause I'm capable

Ok, so I'm a woman and like most of my specie, I constantly feel the
world at large is on a mission to GET me. I see the bruva's rolling
their eyes, well that in it self proves my point. We (women folk) wake
to the world with phrases like "it's a man's world" "a lady is to be
seen and not heard". Where a man seeks to advance his career he's
ambitious, when a woman does it she's put a career before a life. Like
I'm going to stand by and ask 'oga' for monthly tampon allowance.

What happened to equal opportunities? Hmmm? We don't live in the times
of our fathers where men were actually polite, gentle and didn't
stammer when their women asked for a Lil cash. Now men lie, cheat,
lust and sit on their asses comparing themselves to their alter ego's.

I'm tired of these reproductive organs on legs acting like they own
the world! You ate the apple: didn't read bout anyone holding a gun to
your head. Don't blame us cause your life blows. It's double hard for
a woman to succeed at anything 'cause of the same double standard
setting spawns of Satan: we're met with indecent proposals, akward
glances, grabby hands and we still come out on top! I'm making paper,
socializing, and still have time to cuddle.

So you and your double standards can bite my dvb denim cladded behind!

  1. I can understand writer's sentiments given the reality of the gender issue in today's world.

I would say though, that many females have silently made their point and many others continue to do so in almost all sphere of human endeavour.

In the not so distant future, women like they are already doing will not need to apply much force, aggression or even diplomacy to get want they want anymore.. simply because, they have arrived!
